The Harmonie music society was founded in 1929, when the members of the then Conservative Party left Feldmusik Neuenkirch. The idea of ​​founding your own music society was not new. Oral tradition says that such an association existed as early as 1885 to 1905. With a line-up of 29 wind instruments, the Harmonie Neuenkirch music society was founded on October 26, 1929. At the delegates' meeting in 1930, the new association became a member of the Lucerne Cantonal Brass Music Association. The first consecration of flags and uniforms took place in 1931. In 1951, with the active support of the public sector, Harmonie acquired another new uniform and a new flag based on the same design. A big attraction at that time was the parade through the village, with 23 groups with a total of 600 participants. The association received another contemporary uniform and flag in 1967. From 1985 onwards, the Harmonie musicians presented themselves with a gray-blue uniform. There has not yet been any actual re-instrumentation. Only in 1992 was an extended partial instrumentation carried out. At the same time, today's flag was inaugurated. The club has played in a pure brass instrument lineup since the beginning. At the general assembly in 1991, the name of the association was supplemented by "Brass Band". Since then, the association has also been a member of the Swiss Brass Band Association. Since the 75th anniversary in 2004, the BBHN has presented itself in the current blue-red-black uniform.
