Company description and purpose of company Marionnaud Parfumeries - Baden

From a small French perfume shop to a multinational company The Marionnaud success story begins with a gift: in 1984, the French businessman Marcel Frydman granted his wife her heartfelt wish - he bought a small perfumery for her in Montreuil (F). But it didn't stop there: twelve years and 47 sales outlets later, Frydman took over the renowned French perfumery chain Marionnaud. The expansion to one of the world's largest perfumery groups entered a new phase in 1998: Marionnaud bought companies in twelve countries, including Italy, Austria, Spain, Morocco, Eastern Europe and Switzerland. In 2000, Marionnaud also took over the companies Alrodo, Europarfums and Parfumerie Principale in Switzerland. The concept has not changed over the years. What began in the small perfumery in Montreuil is still valid today: a specialist shop with low prices, a wide range of brands and professional advice. Marionnaud - the market leader In 2008, the Marionnaud Group comprises 1231 branches in 13 countries - 566 in France, over 100 in Switzerland and 562 in twelve other countries. With a market share of 30 and 19 percent respectively, Marionnaud is the market leader in Austria and Switzerland. Marionnaud employs over 9,000 people worldwide. There are 720 employees in Switzerland. Marionnaud belongs to the "Luxury Perfumeries & Cosmetics" division of AS Watson.
