Company description and purpose of company tibits ag

tibits, derived from the English "tidbits", small delicacies », stands for enjoyable, fresh and healthy food and drink. Our family business was founded in 2000 by the Frei brothers and the Hiltl family, the owners of the oldest vegetarian restaurant in the world, the "Haus Hiltl". The idea for tibits came about as part of the Venture 98 business plan competition, an event organized by ETH Zurich and McKinsey. The brothers Christian, Daniel and Reto Frei received two awards for their "Vegetarian Fast Food Restaurants" business plan. Rolf Hiltl found out about this project from the media and contacted the Frei brothers. The chemistry was right from the start and they complemented each other perfectly. Together a company was founded and the idea was implemented by "Haus Hiltl" with over a hundred years of experience in gastronomy. To this day, the two family businesses tibits and Hiltl exchange ideas as partners - because the credo of further developing enjoyable, fresh and healthy vegetarian and vegan cuisine is united.
