Wales and managed by the Wikimedia Foundation, is the clearest example of the implementation of these principles. The Association shares the purposes of the Wikimedia Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization based in the United States. The Wikimedia Foundation coordinates numerous international activities in line with the aims of the Association, and manages the Wikimedia name and the names of various international Wikimedia projects. The purpose of the Association will be pursued through: the management and financing of online systems for the production, collection and dissemination of Free Content. Dissemination and support for the dissemination of Free Content by other means, for example in digital or paper form, with particular regard to the contents of international Wikimedia projects. The acquisition, offer and dissemination of information as well as public relations activities concerning Free Contents, Wiki and various Wikimedia projects, through the organization of events or the use of printed material. The resolution of scientific, social, cultural and legal issues relating to Free Content and Wikis, for example through expert opinion, surveys, studies and the awarding of scholarships. The promotion of interchange and cooperation between Wikimedia projects in various languages, especially in German, French, Italian and retro-Romanic, as well as in Swiss dialects with regard to Wikimedia projects in Alemannic German. In carrying out its activities, the Association does not allow and indeed prohibits discrimination of any kind against current or potential users of its services and employees, based on race, skin color, sex, religious faith, nationality, age, disability, sexual orientation or any other personal characteristic protected by law. The Association may collect or transfer funds in favor of other tax-exempt companies or public law companies, provided that such funds are used exclusively for the purposes mentioned above, and may also hold shares or participate in such companies. The Association does not pursue commercial purposes and does not aim to make profits. The funds of the Association can be used only for the purposes indicated in this statute. The members, as such, cannot derive any economic benefit from the Association's assets. Members cannot receive any part of the Association's assets in the event of their withdrawal, dissolution of the Association or cessation of its activity. No person can benefit from expenses that are not necessary for the promotion of the Association's purposes or from disproportionate payments.
