The objectives of this Federation are as follows: a) to encourage the development of all disciplines of Baseball/Softball in all countries and territories; b) to promote and encourage the development of physical attributes, moral values and principles of ethics, mutual respect and world peace which are the basis of our sport through the organization of national, sub-regional and regional competitions , continental and global; c) to be fully in line with the Olympic Charter and to contribute to the realization of its objectives; d) promote clean sport, fight against doping through prevention and education, and comply with the World Anti-Doping Code (WADC); e) to promote and encourage the development of international relations through the creation of strong links and the healthy and most friendly cooperation between its member federations, associations or organizations; f) to promote, sponsor and, if necessary, create such organizations as may be necessary for the proper development and management of Baseball/Softball and the disciplines of Baseball and Softball throughout the world; g) to establish partnerships, cooperations or aggregations with other International Sports Organizations (ISOs) in order to strengthen the promotion and development of Baseball/Softball and the disciplines of Baseball and Softball throughout the world; h) to subscribe to, request to join, any other ISOs whose objectives are complementary to those of the WBSC; i) to preserve and protect the general interests of Baseball/Softball throughout the world and before all necessary organizations and institutions; j) adopting, approving, administering, reviewing and implementing uniform rules and regulations governing Baseball/Softball competitions; k) to organize the Olympic competitions, l) to ensure that the other competitions are sanctioned by the WBSC in accordance with these statutes, division codes and all other respective regulations of the Baseball and Softball divisions as defined below in Article 12.1) and that these competitions are open to eligible National Federations; m) to arbitrate any dispute that may arise between, among or involving member federations, associations and organizations including those between, among or involving any individual athlete or official as specified to the WBSC by an interested party, and to bring an uniform recognition and application of disciplinary actions, n) to establish, organize and administer training, qualification and development programs for athletes, administrators, coaches, managers, referees, scorers, technicians and any other official; o) to conduct surveys and studies and to promote and organize seminars, training, conferences and other events that can improve and develop Baseball/Softball throughout the world; p) to establish, collect or cause to be collected and to approve and archive the statistics, statistical compilations and records accessible via the website and in other places; q) to establish, calculate and promote world rankings for Baseball/Softball at various levels, including all sub-regional, regional, continental and international Baseball Softball competitions; r) appropriately recognize the contributions of those involved in Baseball/Softball; s) to cooperate with the IOC and the Olympic Movement in order to promote, implement and achieve these objectives and to preserve and guarantee the interests of the WBSC and its member federations, associations and organizations as well as to support and defend the ideals of the Olympic Movement in all aspects of Baseball/Softball; t) to carry out any other activity that the Executive Committee deems useful in order to promote and/or develop the sport of Baseball/Softball.
