Gemeinde Muri, Switzerland

Company description and purpose of company Gemeinde Muri

The monastery village of Muri is located on the Lindenberg in the rural Freiamt in the Swiss plateau. Muri is the district capital of the district of the same name and has been closely associated with the Benedictine monastery for almost 1000 years. The huge former monastery makes Muri a place of living cultural history. Muri is also an ideal starting point for an encounter with the Habsburgs or a hike on the Freiämterweg through the natural beauties of the Bünz and Reuss valleys. Today Muri is a regional center with an excellent infrastructure, beautiful residential areas and over 5,100 jobs. The special mixture of rural idyll and tranquility, of relaxation and leisure opportunities as well as the immediate proximity to the urban agglomerations of Zug, Zurich and Lucerne make the community particularly attractive as a place to live.
