The Modellisenbahnclub Baar (MEB) was founded in 1973, initially under the name of the Modellisenbahnclub Zug (MEZ). Since a new club location could be found in Baar on Oberdorfstrasse, the name was changed to MEB. At the beginning of 1998 we were able to move into our new club location in the Waldmannhalle in Baar. The club is located in the basement of the sports hall. Three different club facilities are currently being built there. The 0-gauge layout dominates the approx. 200 m2 room, but the H0 layout in direct current is also very impressive. In addition, a small system with gauge H0 alternating current ("Märklin" system) is being built. The MEB is a member of the SVEA (Swiss Association of Railway Amateurs). We meet on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in our clubhouse.
