The Reitgesellschaft Volketswil (RGV) is a comparatively small riding club. We have around 50 members, including around a dozen juniors. The majority of RGV people spend their free time in the saddle - with good reason of course, because the greatest happiness on earth is known to be on the back of a horse. We are based on the Mattenhof of the Spillmann family above Volketswil. Here we enjoy hospitality for our events and some of our members also ride here, but otherwise the club is independent of the Mattenhof. The RGV, which belongs to the Association of Eastern Swiss Cavalry and Riding Clubs (OKV), holds a two-day dressage tournament every spring. In addition, there is a fun competition for dressage and show jumping riders in the hall in winter. And there is always something else going on: bowling evenings, ski weekends, midnight gymnastics (no joke, it really has already happened), mini golf event, Whitsun kick, summer night festival ...
