It was not until 1962 that the renovated theater reopened its doors, with the French version of Don Carlos. The new room, with 1,500 seats without any visibility restrictions, is now topped by a starry ceiling that extends its curtain of fire, both designed by artist Jacek Stryjensky. The size of its pit, the extent of its clearances and the sophistication of its machinery, modernized in 1998, allow this theater to host shows of all styles and works from all eras.
