Company description and purpose of company Gemeinde Trüllikon

Excavations at Hattlenbuck (Trüllikon) and Schlossberg (Rudolfingen) testify that the community area was settled by the Bronze Age at the latest. From Roman times manors on the Cholfirst and watchtowers on the Rhine have been proven. After the final retreat of the Romans in 454, our area was settled by the Allemanni. The place name Trüllikon goes back to the settlement of the people of the Trullo; Rudolfingen: settlement of the people of Rudolf. Wildensbuch is considered a Franconian settlement and comes from Buchenwald des Willigis. The first documentary mention of our villages comes from the year 858: the Rheinau monastery received property in Trullinchiva, Ruadolvinga and Willigisbuoh from the Anglo-nobleman Wolvene. While Trüllikon and Wildensbuch stayed with the Rheinau monastery, Rudolfingen was later sold to the Reichenau Abbey and then to the Sankt Katharinental monastery, although Rudolfingen formed its own judicial system until 1798. In Trüllikon, jurisdiction came to the Bürkli family from Zurich in 1662, who had their residence in the "castle". With the takeover of the County of Kyburg by the city of Zurich in 1452, the high jurisdiction over Trüllikon also went to Zurich. Until 1798, the municipality of Trüllikon was part of the district governorate of Kyburg. During the Helvetic and mediation period, the division of Trüllikon changed from the Benken district to the Winterthur district and, in 1831, to the Andelfingen district. In addition to today's civil parishes of Rudolfingen and Wildensbuch, Truttikon also belonged to the political municipality of Trüllikon. In 1878, however, Truttikon returned to the rank of an independent municipality through a referendum. The church area remained unchanged, as before, Trüllikon and Truttikon together form an Evangelical Reformed parish.
