The former Strassenzeilendorf extends on the high plateau of the Gros de Vaud, between the valleys of the Venoge in the west and the talent in the east, in the Vaudlaender Central Plateau.

In Oulens-sous-Echallens since 1141 a chapel is mentioned, the abbey Montbenoit heard in France. This chapel later became a parish church levied. The present building has a 1529-30 newly built choir in the Gothic Flamboyant. The choir is through a wrought-iron grille from the nave separated. The exterior of the church dates back to the 19th century (Facade and bell tower). In the center are some stately farmhouses off preserved in the 18th and 19th centuries.
