When we were looking for new premises for our film production at the beginning of 2002, we found what we were looking for in the former "Lebewohlfabrik" on Fröhlichstrasse in Seefeld - where the famous corn plasters had been coming from since the 1940s until we moved in. On the first floor of the Lebewohlfabrik we soon set up our film production "Allmedi Productions". The factory loft on the ground floor, however, was not used. Should we renovate it and sublet it to a photographer or advertising agency? Then suddenly it was back again, the old dream of a culture club, a gallery, a cinema and a café-théâtre, a bar as a meeting place ... It then took more than a year and a half to prepare, set up and renovate. At the beginning of January 2003, an approx. 50-page application for use and renovation was submitted to seven different cantonal and municipal offices. In March we finally received the approval for our music club, signed by Mayor Ledergerber, Councilor Waser and Councilor Martelli. The structural requirements included a new entrance door with a soundproof lock, 50db soundproof windows, ventilation and separate washbasins and toilets for women and men. Now the farewell factory is in operation and we look forward to every cultural lover ...
