From the first Elevenfiftians ... The Eleven-Fifty 1150 association goes back to the celebrations for the 1150th anniversary of the municipality of Merishausen. We have set ourselves the goal of organizing cultural events with a non-commercial character. Since the association was founded in 1996, the events of the Eleven-Fifty association have become one of the most popular meeting places in the Schaffhausen party landscape. The success and the positive echo were able to motivate the initiators of the association to new party adventures again and again. The event history counts over a dozen unforgettable and unique occasions. The idea factory. Anyone who has ever been to an association knows how difficult it is to find members who can and want to get involved. But they do exist: around 15 active members make up the organizing committee. Here, creative ideas, an organizational spirit and lots of strong hands are always in demand. Up to 150 volunteers take part in an event. Anyone who does club work at Eleven-Fifty receives a certain number of points. The sum of these points is used to pay for trips and other events organized by the association. The more points, the cheaper it is to travel! Whether in Paris, Prague, London, Salzburg, Helsinki, Stockholm, Venice, on a white water trek or on a ski weekend ... This is where the best party ideas are made and new friendships are made along the way. The point system can of course only approximately remunerate the work done; a healthy dose of idealism is essential. Much more important for the active members is the care of the community. 1150 is anything but 0815! Events of the Eleven-Fifty 1150 association are characterized by their non-commercial character. The amount of work involved in preparing and holding an event prohibits comparison with other, commercially motivated organizers. One could almost ask: "Who will find the 1150 differences ...?" There really is, starting with the decoration of a drink and ending with the free shuttle bus. An accountant could hardly understand our lavish budget or would describe it as "wasteful". Club people interpret this very differently: "This club is a place where illusions still have a chance to be realized ...".
