In 1955, the current Embrachertal trade association was founded under the name "Gewerbeverein Embrach und Umgebung". Then as now, the aim of the association is to safeguard and promote common interests between small and medium-sized businesses and craftsmen. In 1957 the first trade exhibition with 7 exhibitors took place. The wide range of craft and service work has increased steadily since then. Today, with our more than 130 members, we offer a variety of services and jobs throughout the valley. It is very important to us that as many young people as possible find an apprenticeship position in their own village and thus remain connected to the local industry. The Embrachertal retailer group was founded in 1989. The trade association is a member of the district and cantonal trade association. This enables supraregional cooperation as well as a lively exchange of ideas and information. In order to promote and maintain the local trade, there are alternately factory tours, information events and other events. For young people, we organize annual job insights for prospective apprentices, where the students get an insight into the various professions. The motto "The customer is king" is also the top priority for the members of our trade association. Their experience, reliability and precision make local businesses competent contacts for large and small tasks.
